Pulau Ubin (Part I)

We had a date with Tracy's family today. We decided to bring our children to Pulau Ubin. Everyone was excited, especially me. I simply can't doze off and woke up straight at 6am. Xavier & Shanice remembered woke up instantly when I woke them. They are equally excited. They stood up immediately and get themselves ready for the trip.

Took a picture of Shanice whilst waiting for Tracy.
A few uncles arrive from Pulau Ubin early in the morning when we are about to go there. They don't arrive alone but with big rice bags full of durians.

ON OUR WAY TO PULAU UBIN

PULAU UBIN
The only way to reach Pulau Ubin is via bumboats. Bumboats operate from the Changi Point Ferry Terminal near Changi Village. There are no schedule departure times to and from Ubin, as bumboats set off only when there are 12 passengers.

All umbrellas up to fight the fierce sun.

CHEK JAWA WETLANDS
Located off the eastern coast of Pulau Ubin, Chek Jawa is a unique nature are. Here, we find some of Singapore's richest ecosystems.

The Chek Jawa Wetlands is a large expanse of sand and mudflats covered by the sea during high tides. It is completely revealed during the lowest of tides. Before it became a popular nature site, it was a quiet kampong, reputed to be one of the best kelong and fishing spots in Singapore.

There are at least six different types of habitats in Chek Jawa, includingthe rocky shore and the seagrass lagoon, which are both bounded by sandbars. Moving landwards, mangroves fringe the softer section of the shoreline while coastal forests flank the rockier segments.

阳光, 蓝天, 大海, 还真有度假的感觉!

好喜欢这几张照片, 这地方实在太美了!

在阳光的照耀下, 我们成了“影子”。就在这时候,我们都平等。
